As Bombay burnt on 28th Nov, I...

28th November - The day when I completed my previous blog without giving a second thought to the attacks in Mumbai.

Out here in the UK, it really did not matter to me. Just sheer gladness that I was no longer living in India and don’t intend to anymore. While the firing was going on, my journalist friend asked me as to why was all this happening. And the reply which came naturally was – because we had asked for it…because we as Indians no longer care about which part of India was being bombed. We wake up, go to our respective offices, vote when we are required to and little do we get bothered about what is happening around. We simply do not have the time to question these people whom we have painstakingly selected to make a fool of the whole system of which we are the beneficiary.

Well, isn’t this the perfect set up of DEMOCRACY!

Our slumber was shattered by a bunch of youths from Pakistan, who started their journey from Karachi port on November 13th, crossed the Arabian Sea under the very nose of Indian Navy and went on creating mayhem two weeks later – for more than 48 hours. Just a few of them but they had the courage to do it and they carried out their will to perfection.

Hey, don’t get me wrong. I’m not praising them, but it’s a hint to our much unorganised Indian system where everyone interferes everything… :) Everyone knows everything about something!

Wherein the NSG, the marine, Maharashtra Police force remained obscure, till the final order came for them to face the action. While, the forces carried on their task till the ending, killing all but one terrorist, it’s a surprise that while the terrorists obtained the layout of the 130-year-old Taj hotel from sat-nav, our Indian sleuths failed to even get a printout. Huh!

Hell! Am losing my flow again! Why can’t I write without getting distracted? But then if one is to reason with me, I would say that distraction may sometimes mislead from the actual goal, but it never is a futile approach to solving problems. Or rather- Why can't I write and take the load off my mind! Because may be I no longer wish to write. I want to do away with the rampant corruption and I get the word correctly now. It's called as OVERHAULING the complete Indian democracy system. Its like, may be, if only, but in the end it comes as - Will it ever be?

Shouldn’t we need to be more attentive to our rights and demands? Look what happened to the Glasgow bombers. Shamefully I must admit that they were our fellow Indians, but they were finally caught and the case was closed… In India will this ever be?

As its always like a perpetrator is caught and the parents cry hoarse about their child’s innocence and then the whole gamut of sympathizers emerge like a wave, and then the case is ‘closed due to lack of evidence’ or left to decay due to ‘ongoing investigations'.

So, a few less lives, how does it matter? India is anyways shining...
